SITE WALK VISIT

Sunday September 13 at Suzanne Bouchard's Barn at
856 Kearsarge Mountain Rd.
in Warner.

Barn
is now undergoing repairs by Peter Ladd to stabilize it and prevent any
further deterioration. Barn is 45 feet by 38 feet. Very hard to
determine exact age of the barn. Some elements suggest late 18th century
but some repairs and renovations have been made as late as early 20th
century. Possibility that the barn was moved from another location on
the property which now consists of 69 acres but was previously larger.
We also toured Miss Bouchard's home which was probably built in 1770 and
still has many features from
the late 18th century.
