Meeting Minutes

Chairman Hartman opened the public session at 1:17 p.m.

In Attendance:             Selectman David E. Hartman – Chairman, Selectman David Karrick, Jr., Selectman Clyde Carson &

Town Administrator – Laura Buono 

1. Revised Personnel Policy Review – continued

The Town Administrator previously provided copies of the Personnel Policy for the Board to review and then submit their corrections and or deletions.   

Some grammatical corrections were suggested. 

Sections in the policy pertaining to on-call personnel will be noted as such.  

The Bookkeeper will be attending a class at the Department of Labor; the class will be for new rules and the opportunity to clarify some bookkeeping practices, which could affect the timing of paychecks for on-call personnel.  Historically the Fire Department has been paid on an annual basis, which may need to be changed to monthly based on what is learned at the Department of Labor.   

A public hearing will be held before the revised policy is adopted.  Once the policy is adopted, any future changes will also require a public hearing.               

The Board continued reviewing the policy making corrections and deletions.   

Holiday’s will follow the Federal schedule.   

The review left off at absenteeism. 

2.  The Board proceeded to a site visit at 2:46 p.m. located at Map 15 Lot 009. 

Meeting adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
