Mr. Young spoke with the Director of Public Works and he agreed that his crew would assist in maintaining the barrels. Currently the American Legion cleans the area twice a year. Mr. Young also recommended placing portable toilets at the site. Selectman Cook made the motion to have the Town purchase with funds yet to be identified, two trash receptacles to be placed at the Ordway Woods to be maintained by the American Legion, Conservation Commission and the Highway Crew for a trial basis. Selectman Hartman seconded the motion. Mr. Young strongly recommends that the Town budget for toilet facilities at this site. Selectman Cook sees this as a Parks & Recreation function. The Selectmen received a letter from R.C. Brayshaw Co. Inc. noting that the plate I.D. number was different than indicated on a storage container permit. The Selectmen’s Office has been corrected; the permit was for the Newmarket site. The Selectmen will seek advice from Town Counsel to see if the court order allows storage containers at the Newmarket site.
