Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Chairman Hartman opened the public session at 3:05 p.m.

In Attendance:   Selectman David Hartman – Chairman, Selectman David Karrick, Jr., Selectman Clyde Carson, Town Administrator Laura Buono  

Others present: Ed Mical, Martha Bodnarik, Gail Holmes - Treasurer, Marie Pelletier – Lake Sunapee Bank  

1. Lake Sunapee Savings Bank - Loan

Marie Pelletier from Lake Sunapee Savings Bank presented the necessary loan documents to advance the money to purchase the pumper for the Fire Department.  The loan amount is $376K at a fixed 3.5% rate, monthly payments amount to $2,687.96 beginning on October 8, 2010 and mature on September 8, 2025 and there is no prepayment penalty.  

2. Manifest

Selectman Karrick moved to authorize the Selectmen to sign manifests and order the Treasurer to sign Payroll Check numbers 703 – 760 (includes 22 direct deposit stubs) in the amount of $60,241.84 and Accounts Payable check numbers 44817 – 44825 in the amount of $38,872.07 and Accounts payable check numbers 44862 – 44872 in the amount of $42,252.16.  Selectman Carson seconded the motion; all were in favor, the motion passed.  

Accounts Payable check numbers 44826 – 44861 in the amount of $68,321.36 were approved on August 31, 2010 .  

3. Nonpublic Session

Selectman Carson moved to go into nonpublic session under RSA 91A:3 II (d) land negotiation, at 3:27 p.m.   Motion was seconded by Selectman Karrick.  A roll call vote was taken.  Chairman Hartman – yes; Selectman Karrick – yes; Selectman Carson – yes.  

In attendance:    Chairman Hartman, Selectman Karrick, Selectman Carson, Town Administrator Laura Buono  

The Board of Selectmen reviewed and discussed Debra Hayward’s counter offer on Map 29 Lot 001.

Chairman Hartman moved to come out of nonpublic session at 4:05 p.m.    Motion was seconded by Selectman Karrick.  A roll call vote was taken.  Chairman Hartman – yes; Selectman Karrick – yes; Selectman Carson – yes.

4. Adjournment

A motion was made at 4:05 p.m. to adjourn.
