Chairman Hartman opened the public session at 6:00 p.m.

In Attendance:   Selectman David Hartman – Chairman, Selectman David Karrick, Jr., Selectman Clyde Carson, Town Administrator Laura Buono  

Others present:

Robert Wright, Jr. – Selectman Town of Sutton

Walter Baker, Jr. – Selectman Town of Sutton

Harold Wright – Selectman Town of Bradford

Richard Wright – Selectman Town of Newbury

James Powell – Selectman Town of Newbury  

1. Joint Board Meeting

A Sutton Selectman asked how other towns handle Planning Board decisions and the enforcement of those decisions.  Towns explained depending on the situation a Code Enforcement Officer, or a hired consultant oversees the enforcement of the conditions which is charged to the applicant, for road projects towns use their Road Agent.  

It was asked what recourses are utilized when it is learned that project does not meet the conditions of approval.  One suggestion is a Cease & Desist order.  

It was suggested for a future Joint Board meeting to discuss regionalizing services.   

At 7:00 p.m. the Selectmen convened to attend a presentation of a draft school budget that was presented by Superintendent Jerry Frew.
