WARNER BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES DECEMBER 12, 2000 Chairman Nogues opened the meeting at 6:35 P.M.. All Selectmen were present along with members of the public. Chandler Reservation met with the Selectmen. Steve Lord the forester, Allie Mock, Gerry Courser, and Richard Cutting were in attendance. With the good market conditions the committee decided to sell more timber. East side of Bean Rd., Map 13 lot 6. There were three bids that came in, one of which was a clear high bidder. The bid was by invitation only. Allan Greenlaw of Warner was the high bidder. A timber sales agreement was signed by the Selectmen. Richard Cutting asked the Selectmen’s approval for some gravel to be dumped on Weaver Rd. off of Howe Lane. The gravel would be used for water burms. Approval was granted. Allie Mock expressed a concern to the Selectmen in regards to Class 6 roads. When a logging operation is taking place, the situation should be monitored to keep an eye on damage. It was suggested that maybe a bond should be in place before cutting begins. A town resident met with the Selectmen to file a complaint against an individual who was employed by the police department the weekend of equestrian parade. The resident claims the individual struck his vehicle and broke the mirror on the drivers side. The Selectmen advised the resident to file a complaint with the police department. The Finance Director went over the budget and pending expenses with the Selectmen. Selectman O’Connor made the motion to accept the December 12th minutes with changes, Selectman Brayshaw seconded. Purchase and sales agreement for the Martin Building will be complete by December 13th. The Selectmen will review the purchase agreement and will be sending the final agreement to Town Counsel. The Selectmen reviewed a memo of understanding to be sent to Gamil Azmy. Changes were made, final draft will be ready for next Selectmen meeting. Selectmen O’Connor made the motion to accept the vacation policy. Selectmen Brayshaw seconded. The Selectmen signed three intents to cut, two building permits, and two veterans exemptions. And a discussion followed about a policy to prevent damage on land that is being logged. The Selectmen approved a purchase for a new radio for the Highway Department. Selectmen O’Connor made the motion that Mr. Chase has to go off of the Class 5 Road not the Class 6 per policy to obtain a driveway permit, Chairman Nogues seconded. Ed Mical informed the Selectmen that Emergency Management Assistance Program released a check to the Town for $2043.79 for the year 2000. The Town Clerk requested $800.00 to preserve the vital record books. Request was granted. Selectmen O’Connor made the motion to adjourn at 9:00 P.M.
