Work Session Meeting Minutes
March 22, 2005
Meeting opened at
8:00 a.m.
In attendance: Selectman
Wayne Eigabroadt – Chairman, Selectman David E. Hartman and Selectman Richard
A. Cook.
Recorder of the minutes is
Mary Whalen.
The Selectmen discussed the
upcoming appointments to Planning, Zoning, Conservation Commission and Parks
& Recreation. A list of
volunteers was referenced.
The Selectmen agreed that:

Diane Violette
reappointed for a three-year term as Deputy Town Treasurer.

Stuart Howlett
reappointed for a three-year term as Deputy Tax Collector.
Selectman Hartman was asked by an outside source as to why the
husband of the Tax Collector is the Deputy.
Chairman Eigabroadt explained that the situation has worked well in
the past and that there has been no evidence supporting otherwise.

Bonnie Barnard
reappointed for a one year term as Deputy Town Clerk as recommended by the
Town Clerk.

Elizabeth Young
reappointed for a one year term as an Alternate to the Library Trustees.

David Hartman
reappointed for a three-year term as Representative to Concord Regional
Waste.

Paul Fouliard
reappointed for a three-year term as Alternate Representative to Concord
Regional Waste.

Nancy Martin
appointed as a full member for a three-year term to the Conservation
Commission.

Brian Hotz
reappointed for a three-year term to the Conservation Commission.

Ted Young
reappointed for a three-year term to the Conservation Commission.
-
Daniel Eubank
appointed as an alternate to the Conservation Commission for a three-year
term.

Amy Knisley
appointed as an alternate to the Conservation Commission for a three-year
term.

Highway Safety
Committee will remain the same, Police Chief William Chandler, Fire Chief
Richard Brown, Director of Public Works Allan N. Brown, Emergency
Management Director Ed Mical and Selectman Wayne Eigabroadt all for a one
year term.

Barbara Annis
reappointed for a three-year term to the Planning Board.

Andrew Serell
reappointed for a three-year term to the Planning Board.

Lynn Perkins
appointed as a full member for a two-year term to the Planning Board.

Ed Mical appointed
as an alternate to the Planning Board for a three-year term.
A letter will be sent to the
Conservation Commission asking for a member to be an alternate to the Planning
Board.
The vacant positions for the
Zoning Board were only discussed, Martha Mical and Joanne Hinnendale were
recommended to be reappointed, and Dennis Barnard was recommended for the
Alternate vacancy. It was
recommended not to reappoint John Howe due to a heavy geographical
representation in the
Newmarket
area. Victor
Kumin will be contacted to verify interest.
Further discussion is still needed.
Appointment forms will be
drafted and ready for the Selectmen to officially appoint at the next
Selectmen’s meeting.
