What is REVERSE 911?
REVERSE 911 is a communication tool that utilizes a database of telephone numbers and addresses, which are associated with GIS mapping technologies to deliver emergency notifications to the community via telephone, text, or email.
Using REVERSE 911
Emergency officials can quickly target a geographic area and potentially reach thousands of people each hour by phone, text or email messages. Under extreme circumstances, residents and businesses would potentially receive an alert in the event of:
- Flood
- Severe Weather Conditions
- Evacuations
- Wildfires
- Hazardous Materials Spill
- Crime
- Boil Water Advisories
- Other Critical Notifications
Landline users are already registered to receive REVERSE 911 notifications, but cell phone users are not. For more Reverse 911 information, contact Town of Warner’s Emergency Management Director Edward F. Mical at 603-456-3350 or by email at emd@warner.nh.us.
