Facilities Maintenance, Driver, & Equipment Operator - Full Time

Overview:

The Town of Warner is seeking a Facilities Maintenance, Driver & Equipment Operator full time 40 hours weekly benefited position. This position supports the Public Works Supervisor with the following: road repair and maintenance, knowledge of the work hazards and safety practices. The ability to perform strenuous physical work under adverse weather conditions. Respond to and perform emergency repairs to equipment, roads, or other similar structures without sleep. The ability to understand, follow oral and written instructions, able to communicate effectively with the public and skill in the trades. Starting rate is dependent upon experience and education.

Education and/or Experience: Knowledge and level of competency associated with completion of high school or GED. Vocational training in building and road maintenance preferred Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the job usually associated with having had at least 4 years of experience in maintenance. The ideal candidate would have experience and knowledge as a machine operator and a willingness to learn new tasks. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of New Hampshire for the type of vehicle or equipment operated (Commercial Driver’s License, CDL). Licensure as a electrician or plumber a plus.

Transfer Station Attendant - Full Time

Overview:

The Town of Warner is seeking a Transfer Station Attendant full time 40 hours weekly with benefits. The Transfer Station Attendant supports the Public Works Supervisor with the following: functions and operation of the Transfer Station, maintenance requirements of Transfer Station equipment, buildings and grounds. Knowledge of the work hazards and safety practices relating to transfer stations, of the federal, state and local rules and regulations for the Transfer Stations. Ability to deal effectively with the public, to understand, follow and give oral and written instructions and to perform manual labor. Starting rate is dependent upon experience and education.

Education and/or Experience: Knowledge and level of competency associated with completion of high school or GED. The ideal candidate would have experience and knowledge as a machine operator and a willingness to learn new tasks.

Requirements: A valid NH driver’s license. Certification from State of New Hampshire as Solid Waste Facility Operator preferred. Must become a Certified Transfer Station Attendant within 30 Days of hire.

Deputy Tax Collector - Part Time

Overview:

The Town of Warner is seeking a part time Deputy Tax Collector to assist and support the Tax Collector with the following: preparing tax bills for mailing, processing tax payments, assisting with the process of liens and deeds, email and phone inquiries. Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred. Confidentiality must be always maintained.

Education and/or Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent is the minimum qualification. The ideal candidate would have experience with accounts receivable, interacting directly with the public and a willingness to learn.
